Camp Information:

  • Limited to 36 wrestlers!.
  • Camp designed for athletes who are seeking serious training -- either wrestlers who are training for the Cadet/Junior Nationals or wrestlers who want to get a leg up on the up coming season with intense work outs.
  • Mostly position wrestling on feet some freestyle defense and offense on the mat.

Sample Schedule:

July 5th, 6th, & 7th
1:00 pm - 3:15 pm Technique / Live Session #1
3:15 pm - 4:15 pm Break
4:20 pm - 6:30 pm Technique  / Live Session #2

July 8th - Last Day of Camp
9:00 am - 10:30 am  -----  Drill & (3 Mile Run)

What to Bring:

  • Wrestling Gear (Wrestling shoes, running shoes, head gear, knee pads, etc
  • Note Pad (For wrestling techniques, skills learned, etc)
  • Lunch
  • Spending Money for camp store
  • An attitude of a Champion

What to expect:

  • Sammie Henson will teach various techniques, positions, and skills that are necessary to become a champion.
  • A hands-on coaching style, which develops personal traits as well as technical wrestling skills.
  • Coach Henson believes through a positive attitude, mental toughness, technical enhancement and hard work, you can become the Champion you wish to be. If you have these qualities and a big heart you should apply!

Health Insurance:
All participants must have primary insurance and have signed the release to attend a Sammie Henson "wrestle with the bull "camp. You must also have a USA Wrestling card, available on line at www.themat.com.
